“We just wanted to let our fans know that we had a great time working with Roc Nation to record the album Sweet 7 and massive thanks to those of you who have already bought it.
However, contrary to some tabloid mis-reporting, we have never been “signed” to Roc Nation for a scheduled album release in America.
We continue to be signed to Universal Island and are looking forward to some big performance plans across the Summer and also bringing you some new music very soon.”
Lotsa love Heidi, Amelle & Jade xxxSo, they said they were never signed for a scheduled album release, but then I guess their bound to say that to cover themselves. But what makes it even worse is the fact that they wrote about bringing new music soon, so early after the release of 'Sweet 7'.
I ain't gonna act like 'Sweet 7' didn't flop -because it did, but are they that desperate to release new music? It's not gonna make one hell of a difference!

i think the reason of the album flop is more to do with the negative press than the actual music on album i havent bought it myself but have heard the tracks and to be honest its not a bad album at all. good dance numbers and few catchy ballads that wouldn be out of place on beyonce or rhiana. I think sugababes were once a cool band to follow coz they didn seem manufactured but since mutya and then keisha going people are now feeling like they are more of a girls aloud or saturdays type of band and add on the press negativity and the flop of previous album this was always going to be a hard one for them. You cant deny tho all 3 have really good voices and can sing live. i think its a shame for british music that press release reviews that has nothin to do with the music but to do with line up changes and puts people off buying music
Yes they are all pretty girls who can sing and their album is OK (if a bit bland - lots of catchy songs that you forget almost instantly). However, their problem is that they are not very likable. There was the strong impression of scheming by Amelle and Heidi that led to Keisha being sacked from a band she co-founded, then their endless press briefings against her instead of moving forward. It has unfortunately given the impression of three rather unpleasant girls.
I agree with the second comment, I like the album, its just them! They come across as being bitches, which don't look good image wise for them, hence flopping! They need to pull something out the bag fast - but I can't see anything changing my mind about them and the way they act.
