24/7 Recommends: Keri Hilson - I Like

This feature is back again, and this time I recommend a song from Keri Hilson. The track was released last year, but I only recently just started listening to it, after hearing it on the E4 advert for 90210. I instantly fell in love with this song, and it is constantly been played on my iPod. Check out the video and the song, because its great:

Christina Aguilera Poor First Week Sales Predicted

It seems to be going from bad to worse for Christina Aguilera lately. She can't do anything right to anyone, and even the things she does do right, she gets hit back down. To add to the mass negativity from everyone, it seems that she will be feeling it even more so next week when the chart placings are revealed.

On the Billboard chart, it has been predicted that she will place at #3 with poor sales of between 110-120k. The Glee: Journey To Regionals soundtrack and Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack will be battling it out for the top spot, both expecting to sell between 160-170k.

It's not all bad news though, as it has been revealed in the UK midweeks album chart that she is on course for #1 album in the UK. I think this is good, and I will be pleased if it stays this way by the end of the week.
I have really grown to love the album, and don't know why everyone is hating on her. Let's hope something good comes out of this era soon, eh?

Katy Perry's 'California Gurls' Hits #1

Katy Perry definitely has something to smile about, as her first single, 'California Gurls' from her upcoming sophomore album 'Teenage Dreams' has just achieved the top spot on the US Hot 100 chart.
It seems that Katy achieved the top spot after gaining strong digital sales of 318k. The song has now sold over a million and has been certified Platinum. It has also done well in other countries as it has achieved a few top 10's, and 5's.

This is great news, and I think Katy deserves it. This song is a complete smash and I am still listening to it. I still haven't got sick and tired of it, and this is the first time I have been so into Katy's music.

Lady Gaga's 'Alejandro' Final Single From Fame Monster?

If reports from GagaDaily are to be true, then it seems that Alejandro may be the final single from Gaga's Fame Monster. Her next album, is scheduled to be released in 2011 and was previously confirmed by Gaga herself not too long ago.

If this is the case, then this means that we may get a break from Gaga until her album and a lead single from the new album drops sometime next year. Would Lady Gaga actually want to do this?

I think that she should have some kind of a break, because right now she is being shoved down our throats left right and centre. Also, if she releases another single, then she would have released half of the album as singles. I think this is stupid. If we get a break, then this may build up some hype for when she returns in 2011 with a new album.

What do you guys think? Should she release another single or wait till 2011?

Listen: Kelly Rowland 'Rose Coloured Glasses'

Another new track leaks from Kelly Rowland called 'Rose Coloured Glasses'. Apparently, this has been chosen as a single for release in the US. It seems that Kelly doesn't have the nerve to release the amazing 'Commander' in the US and has only released it internationally.

In replace of 'Commander', she will release two singles aimed at different markets in the US. Recently leaked, 'Grown Ass Woman' will be a single for Urban Mainstream, whereas, 'Rose Coloured Glasses' will be for the Top 40.

Check out the track, here:

The track is OK, but I think she is stupid for not releasing Commander. I still stand by what I said about 'Shake Them Haters Off' and still think that that song would be a better single choice.

Pixie Lott Performs 'Turn It Up' On Loose Women

Here is Pixie Lott singing her new single 'Turn It Up' on Loose Women. This is the fifth single from her debut album also entitled 'Turn It Up'. The song was released this week, but only as a remix package to the annoyance of fans. The funny thing is that in this video she performs the single mix of this song, but for some reason has not released this version of the song for download. The performance wasn't too bad either, but I think I have seen Pixie sing better.
