Doctor Who 'Time Of Angels/Flesh And Stone' Review

So with me being absent from here for a little while, I have not been able to update my views on the episodes of Doctor Who. A few weeks back, Doctor Who series 5 had its first two-parter episode. The episodes featured the return of River Song as well as the terrifying Weeping Angels.
The episode revolved around the crash of the Byzantium (referred to back in series 4 by River Song). The episodes were very entertaining and arguable the best of this series to date.
Whilst the story progressed, you were also given clues about who River Song is, aswell as finding out a little more about the "cracks" in time that seem to be appearing everywhere the Doctor and Amy go.
Well, I will not go any further on the story as it is quite long to describe. But know this....
Doctor Who is definitely back at its best!! 9.5/10

Doctor Who 'Victory Of The Daleks' Review

Another Saturday gone and another episode of Doctor Who we fans get to see. I am very late in posting this, but as you know, I have taken a break from posting. But anyways, onto the actual episode.
Last Saturday was the third episode from the new series of Doctor Who starring Matt Smith as the Doctor and Karen Gillan as Amy Pond. The episode was called 'Victory Of the Daleks' and featured the return of the Daleks in another deadly form. This time the Daleks were known as Ironsides and we're supposedly created to help battle and win the second world war.
However, the Daleks had an ulterior motive and were in face trying to create a new type of Dalek. During the episode we got to see new Daleks in a multitude of colours and much larger than they used to be.
You can expect to see the Daleks again, as they managed to escape this time (much to the Doctor's annoyance).
I can't really say much about this episode as I really dislike these types of stories and this is definitely the worst episode from the new series. I expect next weeks one (tomorrow) to be spectacular as it sees the return of an old character and old villains.
I give this episode a 6/10.

Did you watch it? If so, what did you think? Comment below :)

Doctor Who 'The Beast Below' Review

Last Saturday saw the second episode of the much awaited Doctor Who series 5 featuring Matt Smith as the Doctor and Karen Gillan playing Amy Pond, the companion. This week, the story took place in the future to the year 3295. This was the first episode that Amy Pond gets to experience time travel. The whole episode revolves around Starship UK and the mystery behind the beast below. When exploring, the Doctor and Amy encounter Liz Ten (The Queen), and new enemies The Smilers/Winders.

The episode was really good, and definitely on par with the previous episode. It has definitely got me excited for the rest of the series and I cannot wait to see what else we will get to experience.
Well, next week (this Saturday/tomorrow) will see the return of The Daleks in WW2, so I will write a new review next week.
This episode recieves a score of 8/10.

Doctor Who 'The Eleventh Hour' Review

So, Doctor Who returned last Saturday with a whole new episode, a new Doctor and a whole new look! The episode was called 'The Eleventh Hour' and was a proper corker. They introduced a new companion for the Doctor, as well as a series of new characters. The chemistry between the Doctor (Matt Smith) and Amy (Karen Gillan) was a good match and I can see that this series will actually be good.
With the whole new look, came a new theme tune as well as new credits, and also a new Tardis interior and exterior and a new sonic screwdriver. So, I can surely say that fans (including me) where definitely treated to a great ep and lots of nice new things.
The episode focused on Prisoner Zero and the Atraxi and the storyline was quite decent for the first episode of the series. So, if you didn't catch the episode then you can watch it on BBC iPlayer here!
The episode apparently pulled in 8 million viewers which I think is good, so the best thing now is to stabilise the viewers, so that Doctor Who still has longevity.

I would give this episode a score of: 8.5/10

Now, check out a new trailer for what is coming up in the rest of the series:

Doctor Who News!

As many of you all know, Doctor Who will be returning to our screen sometime in the Spring. This is usually April, but don't hold me to that. As, the series is fast approaching, I have some news that I would like to share with you all.
For those, that may ask why I am posting this on my blog. It is because this is an entertainment blog that gives you news about TV programmes as well as music. So onto the news...
Firstly, I would like to say that this series of Doctor Who is being produced and promoted as 'Series One'. This is probably due to the fact that Steven Moffatt has taken over as executive and head writer.
More news I have includes the titles to the first three episodes of the 13 part series.

Episode 1: The Eleventh Hour
Episode 2: The Beast Below
Episode 3: Victory Of The Daleks

So as you may notice, the Daleks are back (again). Returning as well as the Daleks will be The Silurians (from old old series), and the Weeping Angels.
This series will also see the Doctor punching someone, and firing a handgun. The sonic screwdriver will also explode and some new vampiric creatures.
The TARDIS will also see a redesign as well as the title sequence. Check out this video below, which claims to be the new TARDIS interior:

That is all of the news as of now. If anymore becomes available, be sure to catch it here.

Doctor Who - The New Doctor!

Ok, so I am a massive Doctor Who fan, so it would be stupid of me not to do a post on the new doctor since updates are quite slow at the moment. David Tennant, the 10th Doctor said his final words, "I don't want to go" last Friday just before regenerating into the 11th Doctor played by Matt Smith.
I am going to say that I was dreading the change and thought that Matt Smith was going to be rubbish, but I was presently surprised. I hope that he goes on to do well because I still want the show to go on with some kind of success.
So Matt Smith will be showing up on our screens some time in the Spring of 2010 to begin his reign with Series 5. He will be joined by another female companion called Amy Pond played by Karen Gillan.
Check out the new series logo below, for those who haven't seen it:

And now, here is the trailer for the new series which I think looks epic and brings back some old faces. All I can say is...roll on Series 5 because I am sure to be watching, so don't let me down.
