Sugababes Start Recording Next Album
Sweet 7 singers, the Sugababes, are reportedly back in the studio already working on their next album. They released their seventh studio album, Sweet 7 last month, and to be honest it didn't do as well as they planned. They didn't even enter the UK top 10 album charts, and the best they did was enter at #5 on the Greek album charts.
Not much is known right now but their manager, Mark Hargreaves has said a few words:
"They're a very happy group today. They can't wait to get back into the studio and bring back that feelgood factor."I suppose its the best thing for them as nothing will come out of Sweet 7. In other news, the Sugababes will be re-recording their single 'Girls' to feature Jade Ewen's vocals instead so that it can be used to promote US department store JC Penney.

Confirmation Of Sugababes Being Dropped!
The other day a rumour was going around that the Sugababes have been dropped from US label Roc Nation. Well, an official message regarding the situation was posted on the girls' official website, so peak below:
I ain't gonna act like 'Sweet 7' didn't flop -because it did, but are they that desperate to release new music? It's not gonna make one hell of a difference!
What do you guys think? Comment your thoughts below :)
“We just wanted to let our fans know that we had a great time working with Roc Nation to record the album Sweet 7 and massive thanks to those of you who have already bought it.
However, contrary to some tabloid mis-reporting, we have never been “signed” to Roc Nation for a scheduled album release in America.
We continue to be signed to Universal Island and are looking forward to some big performance plans across the Summer and also bringing you some new music very soon.”
Lotsa love Heidi, Amelle & Jade xxxSo, they said they were never signed for a scheduled album release, but then I guess their bound to say that to cover themselves. But what makes it even worse is the fact that they wrote about bringing new music soon, so early after the release of 'Sweet 7'.

Rumour: Sugababes To Be Dropped From US Label?
I am a bit late in posting this, but I have only got round to actually writing it. So rumour is, that Sugababes have been dropped by their US label, Roc Nation. Apparently, their name has been erased from the Roc Nation website, which could confirm that they have been dropped.
This news comes straight after we find out that Sugababes' latest alubm 'Sweet 7' flopped by only charting at #14 on the UK album charts.
It seems to have gone from bad to worse for the girls, and their album leaking over a month early wouldn't have helped the sales.
I don't dislike the Sugababes, because I actually really like them and their latest album, but I can't see any longevity in the group now tbh.
What are your thoughts on this matter?

Sugababes 4.0 Next Single Is...
"Miss Everything (Ft. Sean Kingston)"
According to Greg James on BBC Radio 1, this is the next single from the babes. This is probably the best choice to get them moving on the charts again. This could be the only option after Sweet 7 flopped. I personally love this song and think its a great choice. The inclusion of Sean Kingston could do well for them, but only time will tell!

Sugababes 'Wear My Kiss' On Eurovision: Your Country Needs You
Here is yet another performance of the Sugababes singing their latest single 'Wear My Kiss'. This time they performed on Eurovision: Your Country Needs You. The performance was OK, but not spectacular. Their vocals are not as good as I know they can be. Check it out for yourself:

Sugababes' 'Sweet 7' Out On Monday!
It may have leaked ages in advance, but the physical copies (and digital) of 'Sweet 7' will be available to buy on Monday 15th March! I absolutely love this album so I definitely think it needs supporting. Check out these two videos, one with a mash up of the album and the other is a TV advert for 'Sweet 7'.
'Sweet 7 Mash Up'
'Sweet 7 TV Advert'
I love the mash up and the TV advert looks really cool. Actually I think that if some of their videos looked like the TV advert then the videos would look so much better!
Will you be supporting this album?

Round 2 In Sugababes Name Fight!
So Round 2 in the Sugababes name fight, and the members of Sugababes 4.0 are confident that they will not have to change their name.
Apparently, the name belongs to the record company they are with already. I do not know if this information is true or not, but there are conflicting reports.
Anyways, it looks like its business as usual for the time being as a spokesperson for the group said;
"The right to use the name Sugababes in connection with all recorded music continues to be under the control of Island Records. Contrary to some recent misleading reports regarding an attempted trademark application from last year, it's business as usual for Heidi, Amelle and Jade."
Oh well, I will report on the next round when something occurs. I would personally love to see the name change happen because I think it would be hilarious and would spell trouble - but I'm just being cruel ;)

Keisha Buchanan Sues Sugababes!
Very late in posting this again! But I thought I would throw my two cents in and have a rave about this. Firstly, It seems as though Keisha Buchanan is suing the Sugababes over the name usage. As Keisha was very much involved in the creation of the band, and after being shoved out of the band last year, I only see this as being the fair thing to do.
I do not see Keisha as being a bitch or the bully that everyone makes out her to be, and I only see that she is standing up for her rights. Yeah, I think the Sugababes should change name, but it isn't a massive thing. I have no quarrels about the new Sugababes as I very much enjoyed their latest album 'Sweet 7'. Read my review to find out my thoughts.
I would like to hear your thoughts on this, so please comment and have a discussion!

Sugababes Live Performances!!
I posted a performance of the Sugababes singing 'About A Girl' for Total Access. They also performed a new track from their upcoming album Sweet 7 called 'Crash & Burn'. The other two videos are then of the Sugababes performing live at the Mosquito Club. I will give my opinions on each performance after the video. So check them out below:
'Crash & Burn' (Acoustic Performance For Total Access)
Vocally this was really good. It makes me like the song more. I like these new Sugababes and it definitely shows that they will stay around for a little bit longer.
'About A Girl' (Live @ Mosquito Club)
They didn't do too bad on this. I like the song, but it felt like it lacked something.
'Freak Like Me' (Live @ Mosquito Club)
Considering this is one of their older tracks and that two of the singers who first sung this have been replaced, I thought they did well. It will never be better than the original, but they still done it justice in my opinion. I will always miss the old Sugababes, but I don't think the new ones are bad like I first anticipated.

Sugababes "About A Girl" Acoustic Performance
Sugababes recently performed an acoustic version of their song "About A Girl" for Total Access. This is really good, and since their new album leaked I have really got back into the Sugababes again. Take a look at them performing it below and tell me what you think.
"Sweet 7" will be released March 8th.

Album Review: Sugababes - Sweet 7
As updates are quite slow at the moment, I thought I would review another album. "Sweet 7" which is to be released in March, was leaked a month early so I have decided to review it for you. I am going to review this album completely separately to Keisha's version of the songs.
So this album is the seventh studio album from the Sugababes and features the newest line-up including members Jade Ewen, Amelle Berrabah, and Heidi Range. I will admit that I weren't too sure about this album or the line-up. I will miss Keisha in the group but I think that she will do better solo.
Anyways on to the track-by-track review:

Anyways on to the track-by-track review:
- Get Sexy: From the moment that I heard this song I knew that I would not stop listening to it. This showed another side of the Sugababes and I liked the direction they were going in. 9/10
- Wear My Kiss: I will admit that I did not really get into this song so much, but after listening to it on the album I can see how catchy it is. I prefer the album version which is longer than the single mix. 8.5/10
- About A Girl: This song is really catchy as well and I definitely like the new direction. I would say that this is one of the best songs on the album. 10/10
- Wait For You: This song relies heavily on auto-tune at the beginning but flowers into another great track. I really like Jade's voice in this as it is very strong and it sets the new Sugababes aside from the older incarnations. 9/10
- Thank You For The Heartbreak: This song is decent but I don't see why it is a fan favourite. I would not say that it stands out that much but it is decent. 7/10
- Miss Everything: This song is completely different to what I expected to hear from the Sugababes. It features Sean Kingston and is definitely one of the stand out tracks from the album. 10/10
- She's A Mess: First listen and I thought what the hell is this. It relies very heavily on auto-tune and I do think that the auto-tune could have been toned down. The song is not too bad after a few listens. The only pathetic thing in this song is Amelle who kind of talks/raps otherwise this song would have been better. 6/10
- Give It To Me Now: I really like this song. It sounds a bit more like a normal Sugababes song. This song is a little different than the rest of the material so I think this is the point where the album changes completely for the second half. 8/10
- Crash & Burn: The tracks have done a 180 degree turn ad have changed completely to songs that sound more like Sugababes. I think some of these songs are more stronger than the rest of the album. 8/10
- No More You: This is a really great track. I love the beat of the song and it is quite a catchy track. 8.5/10
- Sweet & Amazing: This is a typical Sugababes. Yes I have said that for a number of tracks but this sounds like the real Sugababes. The song is really great. I think this is definitely one of the stand out tracks. 9.5/10
- Little Miss Perfect: This song nicely finishes the album off. It shows that the second half of the album is completely different. The vocals on this song are really good and I think that Sugababes do better on songs like this. 9.0/10
OVERALL: 8.5/10
So I was really surprised with this album as I liked it more than I thought I would. The album is pretty strong and the overall score shows this. I think that the album does lack Keisha's vocals but if you look at it separately from Keisha being in the band then it is a pretty decent album.

New Music Video: Sugababes - Wear My Kiss
Here we have the whole video for Sugababes new upcoming single "Wear My Kiss" taken from their yet-to-be-released album "Sweet 7". The song is an OK song but nothing that strikes me as being a hit. I posted a preview of the video the other week, but the full video has arose now. The quality is not that great, but when a better quality comes along I will update it.
The video is pretty cheap looking and is so obviously green screened. They must of had such a low budget on this one that the record company can't be that bothered to invest in them. Well the video is nothing to write home about, but that is my opinion.
Let me know your views :)
*UPDATE* Higher quality video has been uploaded

Music Video Preview: Sugababes - Wear My Kiss
Below is the preview for Sugababes new single "Wear My Kiss". This is the third single off of the yet-to-be-released album "Sweet 7". The single will be out on February 22nd 2010.
The video looks OK but is nothing special. To be honest I probably wont be looking for the full video to premiere as I'm not too bothered about it. But here is a preview of it anyways:
