Survivors Series 2 Episode 5 Review

*Beware: Contains Spoilers!*
So the penultimate episode of the second series was a good un, and now it is literally a few days away before the finale.
Episode 5 which aired on BBC last Tuesday saw the survivors back together as a family again. Whilst on the road, on the look out for a new home, they come across a group of people whom take them in and offer their hospitality.
Sarah and Al's relationship gets really romantic in this episode, but is soon put to the test, when Sarah discovers a new strain of the virus in a cottage which has killed off a few chickens and people already. As she has had contact, she is sure to die so contains the virus by locking herself in.
The story mainly follows this, but other little things happen along the way. Eventually, Sarah dies from the virus and everyone is distraught.
As one of the members of the survivors family has died, they set off to the government place. When they discover that everyone is dead and that the place is empty, Abby catches a glimpse of her son, Peter. The episode ends on this note, building up for an explosive finale.
Overall, I can't wait for the last episode, and hope that it does justice. I really hope the programme carries on for a third series as I previously said.
Anyways, here is a sneak peek from the next episode and I seriously can't wait!

What did you think of this episode? Are you looking forward to the finale and want them to make a third series?

Survivors Series 2 Episode 3 & 4 Reviews

So I missed out last weeks review of Survivors. But since episodes 3 and 4 kinda work together, I thought I would review them together. It kinda felt like a movie with these two episodes as they linked together really well. The first of the two episodes (ep. 3) was pretty good and left off with a kind of cliffhanger.

The episode finishes where it left off, and sees the whole group reunited after Abby finds them. The whole episode revolves around Samantha and her idea of imprisonment. Towards the end of the episode Greg and Tom end up being imprisoned in a coal mine. I do not want to go into the ins and outs of the third episode as quite a lot happened and its hard to remember. Plus I don't want to spoil it for those who may not have seen it.

Anyways, the fourth episode lifts off from the end of the third and revolves all around the coal mining place where many survivors have been rounded up and turned into slaves. This episode has quite a lot of action as well, and quite a lot happens so I won't go into it too much. But the ending was very good, and sets the last two episodes up nicely.

I can't believe the series has gone this quick already and that the final two episodes are here. I actually am excited to see the rest and hope that the BBC don't pull the plug on this series. Anyways here is a clip from the next episode airing next Tuesday at 9PM on BBC One.

Survivors Series 2 Episode 2 Review

*WARNING* May Contain Spoilers*WARNING*
Last night, the second episode from the second series of the BBC show "Survivors" was shown on BBC1. For those that missed it can catch up on it via BBC iPlayer.
We had to wait a full two weeks to see this episode, but I must say it was definitely worth it. I completely love this show and it seems to be getting better and better. Last series was great and gave you a sense of suspicion, however, this series takes it further and keeps you gripped. I might not be too hard to please but still this episode was great.
It started off slowly and I weren't sure if it was going to go anywhere. But then the Survivors banded together to find Abby. The situation with Abby being kidnapped hasn't run on too long, but you kinda wanted her to be found soon.
Whilst they are trying to find Abby, she has finally escaped with the help of the wife of the man who is trying to find a cure for the virus. Abby has been injected with the virus and is not in a good state but is expected to recover again after being the only person recovering after having the virus when it first began.
The band of survivors give up trying to find Abby, although little do they know she has escaped and is trying to find them.
You couldn't help but think that Abby was gonna be caught at the end, however, right at the end of the episode she is reunited with the bunch of survivors.
The episode was great and wraps up Abby being kidnapped (for a little while). I think that the guys who kidnapped Abby will be back soon, but time will only tell. Lets hope the rest of the series is just as good as this.

Now heres a sneak preview of the next episode. Enjoy :)

Survivors Series 2 Episode 1 Review

So for those of you who live in the UK (and those who don't but had the pleasure to see this) I will be reviewing the first episode of the second series. I know I usually post about music, but as updates are slow, I thought I would write about this as it is still classed as entertainment ;)
Well the first series of Survivors (a re-imagining of the 70's series) was a pretty good watch and showed the lives of a few survivors after a worldwide virus wiped out a large amount of the human population. The series ended superbly with a stunning cliffhanger where Greg got shot, Tom killed the man who shot Greg, and Abby got kidnapped by the mysterious people who seem to have some secrets about the virus.
Series 2 lifts off from this point and runs away with it. This episode is fast paced and a few problems are created which claim to destroy the lives of the survivors. For those who haven't seen it, I will leave it at this (so that I prevent spoilers), but all I can say is that this is definitely a good watch and I can't wait for the next episode. Sadly the next episode airs in two weeks so we have to wait extra long.

For those who don't know about this TV series and want to take a look, or for those who want to recap on the first series, then watch this video:
